HSSBV Walk for the Animals Returns to In Person Format

SAN BERNARDINO – The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (HSSBV) Walk for the Animals presented by San Manuel Band of Mission Indians will return to it’s original “in person” format on Saturday, May 7th from 8:00 am – 11:30 am at San Manuel Stadium (280 South E Street, San Bernardino).

This community event is free to attend. Participants are encouraged to create their own fundraising page or download the donation collection form by visiting www.hssbv.org. A free event t-shirt is earned after reaching your first $100 in donations! All attendees will receive a free voucher good for an Inland Empire 66ers Baseball “Waggin Wednesday” game in the 2022 season (while supplies last).

In addition to the walk on the warning track of the baseball field, there will also be the following activities:
• Pet Contests (best dressed female, best dressed male, best kiss, best trick/catch)
• Vendor village with items for both pets and people on sale
• Face painting
• Stars of HOPE painting
• Pet agility course presented by Dances with Dogs Training Center
• “Musical Hoops (musical chairs for dogs)
• Raffles, including tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain
• Training demonstration by Dances with Dogs Training Center
• Pet massage demonstration and education by Paws & Relax Pet Massage
• Line dance lesson with Pepper – K-Frog Radio from K-FROG
• Free flowers for moms (of pets and people) from Orange Blossom Florist
• Pet microchip scan booth
• And more!

Scheduled to appear at this year’s event are:
• NBC 4 Los Angeles Brand Studio Inland Empire Bureau Chief, Tony Shin, hosting the Pet Contests
• Jeff Pope of The Jeff Pope show on HOT 1039, event emcee
• The HOT 103.9 Hot Squad giving away prizes
• Actress and author, Justene Alpert with her dog Finley, for a reading of The Finley Diaries: Adopted
• The SoCal Honda Dealers Helpful Honda People

All animals must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet (retractable leashes of any length are discouraged) and current on their vaccines. Pets should also be of a suitable temperament for dealing with crowds of people, children, and other pets.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Humane Society’s programs and services, including the low cost veterinary clinic, cruelty investigation program and humane education program.
